So, here I am...

It's almost 7am on a cold December Sunday. I am in a good mood though. Hanukkah is coming, as is Christmas and I have my Christmas gifts all ordered and on the way... hopefully they won't come NYE like b4 lolol bc I need them here asap.

I bought Julie and Bees some house slippers, and I bought Bees some linens, and a pillow with cats on it, Julie some pens so that she could work with her anxiety workbooks. Speaking of, I also bought her an anxiety plush. So that should very useful to her. I bought myself some stuff too... I want to get Tate something but I don't think that he would care much... maybe a nineties spotify playlist? Yeah. I got myself some storage bins, an Edgar Allan Poe quilt, and some pens, and a Deadpool phone case. I think I might have gotten Julz a phone case too.. idk.

Today I'm just going to hang out with my girls and Tate. <3

What are y'all doing these days?

Sammy

I'm starting to work on my birthday cake - I'm baking it today, so I'll have tomorrow and Tuesday to decorate it. I suspect it's just going to have the numeral candles, and then I'll just cover it with sprinkles. And I have to wait until my husband is able to leave work early enough to buy me another container of egg whites (the cake is chocolate angelfood, with no fat in it. I use whipped cream to glue the decorations on - it's lower in fat than buttercream icing.

Hi again, and I"m glad to see you. I watch the Weather CHannel a lot, and I love to watch the "icy mountain roads rescue truck" guys in Alberta and along Highway 401, towing big trucks out of ditches after a fast-moving snow storm buries the whole lake shore. And I think you're somewhere near there. I'm fascinated how they figure out how and where to pull in what direction, to get the wheels of the truck back up onto the pavement. They're doing complex physics problems in their heads, just based on empirical knowledge, and many of them never finished high school. And it's always nice to see them succeed in clearing the smashed vehicles and spilled cargo off to let traffic get through. And they're kind of a "family", one guy will help another one who needs a more powerful truck to lift something, and they compete, but only in a friendly way.

She doesn't clean, I do all the shopping and laundry, all the baking and some of the cooking. :-)  I think I may have found a handle on some music that she doesn't have.

As a gag gift, get her an "amateur telescope" like I wanted most of my life growing up. Or, even funnier, a "toy planetarium" projector (I had one of those).

And on another note, is there any kind of entertainment you two enjoy together? A night out listening to live music, a fancy dinner at a place that has good food and ballroom dancing? Go see "Moana 2" (my husband and I may do that on my birthday) Or get a hokey-looking Santa hat and put a sprig of fake mistletoe on it an plonk it on her head, and hum a few bars of "All I Want For Christmas Is You" and then kiss her and hug her as hard as you can until neither of you can stop.

Even geekgirls enjoy romance once in a while :-)
