There goes Buddy my increasingly annoying דרעק (shithead) of a neighbor, roaring away in his Ram truck. That guy, he doesn't give a fuck if ppl are trying to sleep... (I'm not but that's not the point.) My neighbors (for the most part) suck donkeyballs.

Today is the cookery class... this is my first time going, so go me!!

I'm not even starting with Canadian-American politics. Nope. Just like Logan, I refuse.

The rest of the day, I might rest, bc I got up at the asscrack of dawn yet again. But I do have Sims screenshots that I may upload. I'm getting hungry. I hope breakfast is served soon. :(

My cats eye glasses' arms are loose, so I'm going to ask Maman about the set of mini screwdrivers that Anne left here. :) I'm wearing my Buddy Holly glasses atm. But anyways...

I might check up on a few things. I need to get my boots out of storage, (aka shoved in a tight crawlspace?) but um... ya.

Two suggestions on cooking. There was a TV series down here called Good Eats, hosted by Alton Brown. If you can find videos of it on YouTube or elsewhere, they're VERY informative. He teaches the techniques and science behind cooking in a very informative and amusing way. I highly recommend them, they helped me tremendously when it came to developing cooking skills. Not all of his recipes are 100%, but most of them are good.

Second, if you ever get off to big good used book stores that also traffic in used magazines, there's three that I highly recommend. America's Test Kitchen, Cook's Illustrated, and Milk Street. Books by them are also recommended. They were all founded by the same guy, Christopher Kimball, and he now operates Milk Street after being ignomiously kicked out of America's Test Kitchen for the crime of getting old.

What makes America's Test Kitchen/Milk Street special is that they test recipes to the brink of destruction. Ingredient swaps and adjustments, etc. They'll make recipes 20 times or more, adjusting parameters, before they'll publish it. In the case of Milk Street, they travel the world sourcing recipes then adjusting them so that you can probably get the ingredients locally, if not from online sources. So their recipes are pretty much idiot-proof, and I am more than capable of being an idiot.

I have a gut feeling that is a terrible book to learn how to cook from.  If you're a skilled cook, it's probably good.  But I suspect the recipes are really complicated.  I would stay away from any cookbook that's thick enough to be usedin hand-to-hand combat. :-)  Best of luck with it!

You talking about your neighbor makes me think about my mom complaining of hers. Letting their lifted trucks idle forever; lack of insulation in her house allows the carbon monoxide to fill it, which I worry about. She ends up getting up because she can't sleep during that.
