OK. So... I'm just going to plonk this down, bc a) I'm bored currently and trying to stay awake... and b) creative writing. From here.

What is the one food you overeat, no matter what?

Um. In short Italian food. I loves. In long, any pasta, pizza, anything really. Except maybe bruschetta bc I'm not too keen on tomatoes. I'll eat them in things, and I WILL eat them raw... but I tend to not like the flavor? Same with mushrooms and onions. I gag when I eat these, but that isn't the q is it? But, usually I can contain myself. USUALLY. I just want to have fun this new years. :) I like my crisps too. Any kind except for salt & vinegar. I used to like them but they made the roof of my mouth all raw and stuff, so... I don't go there. XD

This coming year, I am sticking to the good foods that are served here, and keep the snacking to a minimum. If I feel stressed, I will do something else besides eat. :)

That's my piece and I'm sticking to it. :P

"Any kind except for salt & vinegar."

My wife loves these. I'm not keen on crisps at all, it's the abrasion thing, add salt and vinegar, and you're literally rubbing salt in an open wound.

Since I get horrribly ill if I consume too much fat, I can't pig out on things that I used to love. Bacon. When I was twelve years old, I was staying at my aunt's house and she made me pancakes and bacon for breakfast. I asked her if I might have more bacon, and she went and cooked me more bacon. But when I asked again, she informed me there was no more left - I had eaten an entire pound of bacon. But a few weeks ago I ate five or six slices, and on the way home I had to lean out of the car to throw up.

Another thing I'd binge on was popcorn, drenched in butter and salt. Nope, no more. Getting old sucks.

I aim to eat sensibly as well. I already eat well but I need to cut down on meal sizes!

I have become very, very careful about overeating in the last decade or so. I have a hiatal hernia, where a small portion of my stomach has protruded through my diaphragm, and overeating can have considerably bad consequences for me! ESPECIALLY if it's greasy food, like ever so lovely shredded BBQ or similar greasy stuff. I've developed no shame in asking for food to go and having leftovers for lunch the next day.

A couple of years ago I went out with two friends to a Brazilian steak house in Phoenix, one of these places where they bring you literally a dozen different preparations of different kinds of meat. Amazingly good, and surprisingly I suffered no ill effects the next day! I took my pacing slow and was very careful not to truly gorge myself. I remember a particular garlic chicken that was just simply amazing.

Try the pink tomatoes. If they are properly grown and not harvested in an immature form (this is usually done so that they can be transported over long distances later), then they are much tastier than ordinary reds (at least to my taste).
